The collaboration offers unified platform for smarter, streamlined protection across networks and endpoints.
Zyxel Networks, a leader in delivering secure and AI-powered cloud networking solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Avast, a globally recognized leader in SMB endpoint protection. The integration of Avast’s Business Security Solution with Zyxel Networks’ USG FLEX H series firewalls brings unified visibility and protection across networks and endpoints, simplifying cybersecurity for SMBs and MSPs.
A recent study revealed that one in three SMBs experienced a cyberattack in the past year, with personal device use and lack of employee security training among the top vulnerabilities. As endpoints such as mobile devices, laptops, printers, servers and IoT equipment often become lucrative targets for attackers, the partnership aims to overcome this challenge with a single, streamlined security experience.
Smarter, streamlined protection
SMBs have traditionally managed network and endpoint security separately, relying on different dashboards and manual cross-checks. Zyxel Networks’ partnership with Avast changes this by offering a smart, streamlined experience and is made possible through:
· A centralized, real-time view of Avast endpoint license information directly in the firewall’s management interface, helping IT teams respond faster to expiring protections.
· Deeper device insights and shared threat intelligence, delivering end-to-end protection and faster threat responses by reducing blind spots[1].
Building an open platform for flexible endpoint integration
To meet the diverse range of deployment needs, Zyxel Networks is committed to building an open ecosystem that offers flexible endpoint options. In addition to Avast Business Security, which protects Windows/MAC PCs and Windows servers, Zyxel Networks’ Astra service extends endpoint protection to remote and roaming users in hybrid work environments. The company plans to broaden its integrations to give SMBs maximum flexibility.
Three decades of cyber security expertise
Avast brings more than 30 years of cybersecurity expertise, operating one of the world’s largest threat intelligence networks and blocking hundreds of millions of malicious visits each month. Its endpoint solutions, consistently ranked among the top by independent labs, are designed to be simple, scalable, and affordable, helping businesses automate protection and reduce IT workload.
“SMBs need a more integrated approach to cybersecurity,” said Ken Tsai, President of Zyxel Networks. “By combining our advanced firewall protection with Avast’s trusted endpoint security, we’re helping smaller businesses gain unified visibility and synchronized defenses. This will allow them to protect their people, data and devices more efficiently and affordably.”
“This partnership brings together two complementary strengths for SMBs,” added Mark Gorrie, VP of APAC & MEA at Avast. “Avast’s leading endpoint protection, integrated with Zyxel Networks’ secure networking solutions, offers businesses a streamlined way to monitor, patch, and defend endpoints alongside their networks. Our collaboration will reduce complexity while improving security outcomes.”
