Zyxel Networks is stepping up its partner program, focusing on its award-winning Nebula cloud platform, to support and reward partners for sustained growth and long-term success.
Zyxel Networks is launching a new and ground-breaking partner program that will put the emphasis firmly on supporting partners in growing and positioning themselves as cloud networking businesses.
The new program will build on the strengths of Zyxel Networks’ products and its unique Nebula cloud management platform. It is designed to incentivize all partners as they develop the managed services element of their business and adapt to the changing needs of customers.
“The new partner program underlines Zyxel Networks’ commitment to driving cloud networking and supporting the growth ambitions of all our partners,” said Kevin Drinkall, Director, Marketing and GTM Strategy EMEA. “This is an important milestone in the development of our channel strategy that will ensure our partners are rewarded for putting their focus on Zyxel Networks and building their business around our products.
“Our solutions offer high levels of performance, usability, scalability and sustainability. The new channel program provides the flexibility and support that partners need to meet the changing needs of their customers. It provides them with AI-driven tools and other resources they can use to assist customers in gaining access to more innovative ways to manage and operate networks. It mirrors the way partners and customers want to work today, recognises their commitment and loyalty to Zyxel Networks, and demonstrates the 100% confidence we have in our cloud networking strategy.”
Many partners already use Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud management platform as the foundation for their managed services offerings and the new program will encourage even more of them to successfully make that transition.
“Wherever they are on their own journey as a business and whatever market they focus on, Zyxel Networks will provide the support and incentives partners need. The program makes being a Zyxel Networks cloud partner even more rewarding too, as partners will unlock more benefits as they increase the number of Zyxel Networks devices they manage.
“By building their managed services client base, partners will also drive their sales of Zyxel Networks’ WiFi access points, firewall appliances and switches,” Kevin said. “Partners will grow their product sales alongside their services revenues and earn good margins on every Zyxel Networks solution they sell.”
The new program will give partners the benefit of discounts across a wider variety of products while incentivizing those resellers who have a higher number of installed Nebula devices.
All of Zyxel Networks’ existing partners across Europe will be migrated into the new program starting from this month and will be offered 12 months to align to the new program criteria, allowing them plenty of time to work with their local teams to ensure long-term benefits.
Specialist partner accreditations – for MSP partners and for the Education and Hospitality sectors – will continue to apply and be available. The EliteTech program, for which individual technical personnel can qualify, also remains in place.
As well as being designed for cloud management and delivering enterprise-class features, performance and reliability at SMB prices, Nebula-enabled devices can also be installed and configured remotely. Zyxel Networks provides MSPs with a multi-tenant license for Nebula, allowing them to manage multiple client locations and any number of devices remotely. These will also be available under the new program, allowing partners to manage customers from their own operations centre or from any other location.
In addition, partners that qualify for the top two tiers of the new program – Prime and Elite – will have access to a new Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) option for Nebula subscription licensing that will allow them to flex the number of devices they use up and down, paying only for the number active that month.
The PAYG option for Prime and Elite partners has been introduced in response to partner feedback. Partners that make use of this option are expected either to have a fast-growing customer base or to have clients that need to meet requirements for events, construction or other major projects. This element of the new program has been successfully piloted with a number of partners during 2024.
Notes to editors
1. Entry-level Nebula is provided free of charge on all Zyxel Networks’ Nebula-supported devices. To enable devices to be fully monitored and managed by the MSP, the customer must purchase a Nebula Pro license. The thresholds will apply to the number of Nebula devices that the partner has active. In subsequent years, partners will remain at the same level as long as they continue to have a sufficient number of active Nebula devices in place.
2. The previous program tiers of Ally, Silver and Gold will correspond to the new program levels of Registered, Ally and Prime, respectively. Partners that are already managing 650+ installed Nebula devices will move into the Elite tier straight away. Partners placed in the other three tiers will be given 12 months to achieve the threshold targets.
